About this treatment
Reflexology works with maps: areas of the feet that reflexologists link to other parts of the body. In a foot session your therapist works through each foot point by point, with steady pressure from the thumbs and fingers and a little warmed oil.
It is our general package and the session most people start with. You stay dressed, sit back in a reclining chair and only take off your shoes and socks.
What happens in the session
- A short conversation first: how you feel today, and anything we should know about your health.
- You settle into a reclining chair. Shoes and socks off, trousers rolled up to the knee.
- Your therapist works through the reflex maps of both feet with slow, firm pressure, adjusting it to you.
- A minute to rest at the end, a glass of water, and out at your own pace.

Anything comfortable. Trousers that roll up to the knee make it easier. You stay dressed for every treatment at COVE.

Questions about Foot Reflexology
Does foot reflexology hurt?
It shouldn't. The pressure is firm and some points can feel tender, but your therapist adjusts it as they go. Tell them any time you want it lighter or deeper.
Is foot reflexology the same as a foot massage?
No. A foot massage relaxes the muscles of the foot. Reflexology works on specific points across the foot in a set order, following its reflex maps, with slower and more precise pressure.
How often should I come?
Many guests come once a week or once a fortnight. The 5-session and 10-session packs and the monthly membership make regular foot sessions cheaper.
Can I use my pack or membership for foot reflexology?
Yes. Foot Reflexology is one of the two general packages that packs and the membership cover. Book online as usual and we use your credit when you arrive.
